Supporting Students with Special Needs
GSL Education is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a school in Exeter on a full-time, long-term basis. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide one-to-one or small group support for students with special educational needs, assisting the class teacher in planning and delivering personalised learning activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individualised support to students with special educational needs.
- Assist in planning and delivering learning activities tailored to students' needs.
- Help create a positive learning environment by managing classroom behaviour and encouraging student engagement.
- Support students' emotional wellbeing and help build their confidence in their abilities.
Requirements
- Experience working with children with special educational needs in the UK.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with pupils, staff, and parents.
- A valid Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
