Porterbrook, a leading provider of rail leasing solutions, is seeking an ambitious and analytical individual to join their team as a Strategic Sustainability Analyst.

Salary

£45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits package including excellent pension scheme, financial wellbeing support, flexible working, and enhanced family friendly policies.

Job Description

The role of the Strategic Sustainability Analyst involves supporting Porterbrook's long-term business and sustainability objectives through detailed data analysis and reporting. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting market research and competitor analysis to inform strategic planning
  • Providing analysis to support decision-making on business growth opportunities and operational improvements
  • Working closely with the Sustainability Manager to assist with Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) reporting

The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to identify trends and draw meaningful conclusions from data. Proficiency in Excel and experience of PowerBI and/or similar tools are essential.

Required Skills and Qualifications

A relevant degree in business, finance, engineering, sustainability or related field is required. Recent graduates with a strong appetite to learn and develop are encouraged to apply. Knowledge of the transport/rail sector is a plus, but not a requirement.
