Trainee Children's Wellbeing Practitioner

About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Trainee Children's Wellbeing Practitioner. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and forward-thinking service, providing psychological interventions to children and young people with common mental health problems.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver brief evidence-based therapeutic interventions within a stepped care model for children and young people with common mental health problems, including depression and anxiety disorders.
- Work under supervision to develop skills and knowledge in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and other evidence-based interventions.
- Attend university-based taught and self-study days, as specified within the agreed curriculum.
- Contribute to the development of the CAMHS Gateway Service, working collaboratively with colleagues to provide high-quality services to children and young people.
Requirements
- Education to undergraduate degree level.
- Able to attend formal training and complete academic components of the course.
- Experience of working with people who have experienced mental health problems, preferably in a primary care setting.
- Computer literacy and excellent communication skills.
