We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Trainee Children's Wellbeing Practitioner. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and forward-thinking organization, providing psychological interventions to children and young people with common mental health problems.
Job SummaryThis is an employment-based training role within the forming part of a NHSE, HEE, and DoH initiative to expand the mental health workforce. The successful candidate will undertake a 12-month training course at the University of Exeter, developing skills in brief evidence-based therapeutic interventions within a stepped care model.
Main Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe post holder will work in the CAMHS Gateway service across Dorset, providing psychological interventions to children and young people with mild to moderate common mental health problems. The role requires a flexible and hardworking approach, with excellent administrative, time management, and communication skills.

Person SpecificationThe ideal candidate will have a strong educational background, with a degree in a relevant field. A high level of enthusiasm and motivation for the role is essential, with the ability to work under pressure and manage own caseload and time.
