About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Social Worker to join our team in Durham, UK. As a leading staffing agency, we have partnered with local authorities to provide high-quality social workers for their Children Looked After (CLA) teams.

Job Description

In this exciting opportunity, you will manage a caseload of children and young people in care, working closely with carers, professionals, and multi-agency teams to develop care plans and support placements. Your work will directly contribute to improving the lives of these children, ensuring their safety and well-being.

Responsibilities

  • Assess and support the needs of children in care, developing and reviewing care plans as necessary.
  • Collaborate with foster carers, residential staff, and multi-agency teams to provide comprehensive support to children.
  • Attend statutory reviews, care planning meetings, and court hearings as necessary.
  • Support children transitioning out of care, including into adoption, fostering, or independent living.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
  • Experience working within children's services, particularly with children looked after or in a similar statutory social work role.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, care planning processes, and safeguarding policies.
