Job Title: Residential Childcare Skills Assessor

We are seeking a qualified Residential Childcare Skills Assessor to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for assessing and supporting learners working towards Residential Childcare Apprenticeships at Level 4 or 5.

The ideal candidate will hold a recognised assessor award: D32/33, A1, CAVA, or TAQA, as well as a teaching qualification at Level 3 or above (PTLLS/AET). Experience in delivering Apprenticeships in Residential Childcare at Level 4 or 5 is highly desirable.

This role involves assessing and supporting learners, providing support with Functional Skills Maths and English to Level 2, efficiently managing your diary to conduct timely reviews and meetings, conducting online video meetings and training sessions with learners, organising and maintaining learner progress documentation, offering support, advice, and motivation to learners, and adapting delivery to meet individual learner needs and overcome barriers to learning.

The salary for this role is estimated to be £35,000 - £42,500 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.

About the Role

As a Residential Childcare Skills Assessor, you will work closely with our team to deliver high-quality assessment and support services to learners. You will be responsible for:

  1. Assessing and supporting learners working towards Residential Childcare Apprenticeships at Level 4 or 5.
  2. Providing support with Functional Skills Maths and English to Level 2.
  3. Efficiently managing your diary to conduct timely reviews and meetings.
  4. Conducting online video meetings and training sessions with learners.
  5. Organising and maintaining learner progress documentation.
  6. Offering support, advice, and motivation to learners.
  7. Adapting delivery to meet individual learner needs and overcome barriers to learning.

The successful candidate will have a strong competency at Deputy Manager level or above within a Residential Childcare setting and a minimum of a Level 3 in Residential Childcare. A full, clean UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential for this role.
