Job Opportunity for Experienced Retail Professionals

As a highly motivated and experienced retail professional, we are offering an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Lead Retail Vocational Skills Trainer.

We are looking for a skilled trainer with at least 5 years of experience in retail management to deliver vocational qualifications to learners working in the retail industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and supporting learners working towards Retail Apprenticeships (New Standards) up to Level 4, as well as delivering training and support for Functional Skills - Maths, English, and ICT to level 2.

The role involves conducting online and face-to-face observations of learners to gather evidence towards their qualifications, managing diaries efficiently to ensure timely visits and reviews, organizing and maintaining documentation on learners' progress, and supporting, advising, and motivating learners to overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet their needs.

In addition to these responsibilities, the successful candidate will be expected to meet Assessor KPIs regarding timely visits, quality paperwork, and general administration, as well as take part in learner recruitment to maintain their own caseload.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • At least 5 years of experience in retail management
  • Confident to support learners with Functional Skills in Maths, English, and ICT (must hold own grades C or above, or Key/Functional Skills at level 2)
  • Happy to undertake the Assessor award for trainee candidates
  • Flexible with travel
  • Excellent communicator with a learner and quality-focused approach
  • Confident and professional with the ability to inspire and motivate people

Estimated Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 per annum depending on experience
