Paediatric Trauma & Orthopaedic Clinical Nurse Specialist
Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Paediatric Trauma and Orthopaedic team. The successful candidate will provide expert clinical care, support, and advice to children and families/carers under the care of the paediatric trauma and orthopaedic service based at Bristol Royal Hospital for Children.

Main Responsibilities

The CNS will work alongside the established team of Band 7/6 Paediatric Trauma and Orthopaedic Nurse Specialists to provide holistic, high-quality, evidence-based care to children and their families with trauma/orthopaedic conditions. The post-holder will provide leadership, clinical expertise, education, and support to patients and their families/carers, hospital-based professionals, and colleagues in community settings. The CNS will also be actively involved in audit and research.

Key Requirements

Essential

  1. Registered Nurse (Child) or relevant children's qualification
  2. Current NMC Registration
  3. 1st Degree in nursing or health-related subject, willing to undertake/working towards
  4. Qualification in Teaching and Assessing
Desirable

  1. Qualification/Short course in Asthma management
Skills and Abilities
