Children's Community Nursing Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Children's Community Nursing Specialist to join our team at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide specialist nursing advice and support to patients and families, in-patient and out-patient, throughout their care pathway.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will have extensive experience in paediatric nursing, with a strong focus on epilepsy care. You will work closely with our team of paediatric neurologists and paediatricians to ensure that children receive a seamless, quality service. Your expertise will be invaluable in developing and strengthening our Epilepsy team, providing a robust service to children and families both in hospital and in the local community.
Key Responsibilities- Provide specialist nursing advice and support to patients and families, in-patient and out-patient, throughout their care pathway.
- Work closely with the Neuroscience multidisciplinary team in hospital and the community to ensure a co-ordinated quality service.
- Develop and strengthen our Epilepsy team, providing a robust service to children and families both in hospital and in the local community.
- Collaborate with our team of paediatric neurologists and paediatricians to ensure that children receive a seamless, quality service.
- Be able to speak fluent English to an appropriate standard.
- Supportive and respectful.
- Extensive and varied post-registration experience in paediatric nursing.
- Substantial current speciality experience in epilepsy care.
- Evidence of recent teaching experience.
- Experience of undertaking research or audit projects.
