The successful candidate will provide expert clinical care, support, and advice to children and families/carers under the care of the paediatric trauma and orthopaedic service based at Bristol Royal Hospital for Children.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Provide specialist nursing advice and support to patients and their families/carers throughout all aspects of the care pathway.
* Work with the multi-disciplinary team to provide holistic, high-quality, evidence-based care to children and their families with trauma/orthopaedic conditions.
* Provide leadership, clinical expertise, education, and support to patients and their families/carers, hospital-based professionals, and colleagues in community settings.
* Be actively involved in audit and research.

**Requirements:**

* Current NMC Registration
* 1st Degree in nursing or health-related subject, willing to undertake/working towards
* Qualification in Teaching and Assessing
* Qualification/Short course in Asthma management
* Appropriate post-registration experience in paediatric asthma nursing
* Proven commitment and experience, evidence in teaching
* Appropriate proven leadership and management experience
* Experience of undertaking research or audit
* Evidence of commitment to research-based practice or evidence of project work undertaken
* Experience as preceptor/mentor
