About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Manager to join our team at Fox's Burton's Companies. As a key member of our safety team, you will be responsible for championing safety, health, and environmental management on site, promoting a positive safety culture, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain our safety standards across site, ensuring they are aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular audits and plant inspections to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with senior functional leaders to implement and maintain a robust safety management system, reducing accident frequencies and improving environmental performance.
  • Act as the business expert in Scotland on all Health and Safety matters, ensuring all employer liability claims are monitored and responding to enforcement bodies and response services.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a management or head of SHE role within food manufacturing, with a proven track record of implementing and maintaining health and safety processes.
  • Extensive knowledge of Health and Safety law and industry standards, with the ability to develop and maintain our safety standards.
  • Expert knowledge of best practice and industry standards, with the ability to implement and maintain a robust safety management system.
  • Good knowledge of Environmental and Sustainability practices, with the ability to adopt and implement.
  • Understanding of local Government departments and the ability to proactively engage with key stakeholders.
  • NEBOSH and Health and Safety qualified.
  • Agile thinking and behaviors, with flexibility to attend SHE meetings across multiple sites.
  • Previous People Management experience, including individual development.
