Job Summary:

Spire Healthcare is seeking an experienced Integrated Governance Manager to lead compliance activities in conjunction with hospital departments. The ideal candidate will focus on infection control, clinical governance, clinical effectiveness, patient safety, and health and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead integrated governance and quality activities within the hospital, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and coordinate investigations of adverse events, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Develop and implement clinical audit programs, promoting evidence-based best practices and continuous quality improvement.
  • Assist in the development and dissemination of patient safety information throughout the hospital, engaging with colleagues to promote a culture of safety and quality.
  • Lead the development of methods and processes to manage clinical risk, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with hospital departments to develop and implement policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge and skills, as well as assist others in developing theirs, to ensure the hospital remains compliant with regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor consultant information and coordinate reports to identify trends and support the practicing privileges review process.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in leading and developing teams, with a proven track record of success.
  • Evidence of participation in audit activities, with a focus on clinical governance and patient safety.
  • Degree-level education, with a preference for a Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Root cause analysis training and experience in clinical governance.
  • Lead in audit activities/clinical audit training, with a focus on patient safety and quality improvement.
  • IOSH/NEBOSH accreditation, with a focus on health and safety.
