Clinical Governance Lead | Spire Shawfair Park Hospital | Full Time | 12 Month Fixed Term Contract | Competitive Salary and Benefits Package

Spire Shawfair Park Hospital is seeking a dedicated and proactive Clinical Governance Lead to oversee compliance initiatives in collaboration with the Hospital Director, Director of Clinical Services, and departmental leaders on a fixed-term contract. The successful candidate will prioritize Infection Control, Clinical Governance, Clinical Effectiveness, Patient Safety, and Health and Safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct Integrated Governance and quality assurance activities within the facility.
  • Supervise and coordinate inquiries into adverse incidents occurring within the establishment.
  • Spearhead clinical audits, advocating for evidence-based best practices.
  • Support the creation and distribution of patient safety-related information across all hospital levels.
  • Lead the formulation of strategies and processes to enhance clinical risk management.
  • Collaborate with colleagues throughout the hospital regarding policy oversight.
  • Enhance personal knowledge and skills while aiding the development of others.
  • Foster a culture that actively promotes clinical safety and quality improvement.
  • Review consultant data and coordinate reports to identify trends, supporting the evaluation of practicing privileges.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Proven experience in leading and developing teams.
  • Demonstrated involvement in audit processes.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Training in root cause analysis.
  • Experience in Clinical Governance.
  • Leadership in audit activities and clinical audit training.
  • IOSH/NEBOSH accreditation.
