Job Summary

Main Responsibilities
  • HR Advisory Services: Provide expert advice and support to line managers on complex HR queries and issues throughout the employee lifecycle.
  • Employee Relations Management: Assist and support line managers in managing complex employee relations cases, including absence, conduct, and capability, by conducting investigations, disciplinary actions, and grievances.
  • HR Administration: Manage all HR administration within the team, ensuring accuracy and efficiency within agreed service level agreements.
  • HR Systems Management: Oversee and manage all HR systems, ensuring data accuracy and continuous improvement to workflows.
  • Policy Development: Support the Head of People, Payroll, and Process in reviewing and developing HR and Payroll policies, procedures, and processes to ensure compliance with legislation.
  • Payroll Support: Assist in the processing of the monthly society-wide payroll as required.
  • Training and Development: Provide coaching and training to new line managers on HR policies and procedures.
  • HR Reporting: Collate, produce, and analyze HR management information by providing accurate reports to analyze trends, monitor compliance, and review HR performance.
Requirements
  • Education: Good standard of education, preferably at a higher educational or degree level.
  • Experience: Experience working in a similar HR management role, with effective people management experience in a wide range of HR and performance-related matters.
  • IT Skills: IT proficient with good competence in the use of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Knowledge: Strong knowledge of UK employment law and ACAS best practices.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex and/or sensitive information to colleagues.
