About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Storekeeper to join our Theatres and Critical Care team at Royal Papworth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our stores team, you will be responsible for maintaining optimal stock levels, performing regular stock takes and audits, and ordering supplies. You will also engage in physical tasks such as manual handling and transporting items, adhering to safety standards and using proper techniques.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of stock levels, including inventory management and ordering supplies.
- Perform regular stock takes and audits to ensure stock levels are accurate and up-to-date.
- Collaborate with the stores team to ensure seamless operation and delivery of exceptional patient care.
- Engage in physical tasks such as manual handling and transporting items, adhering to safety standards and using proper techniques.
- Manage damaged or outdated items and maintain accurate records in line with hospital policies.
Requirements
- NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualification or equivalent experience, skills and knowledge.
- Experience in a similar role, preferably within a healthcare setting.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to update the stores team and negotiate stock requisitions.
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight time scales, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
