As a vital member of the Theatres and Critical Care (TCCA) team, you will ensure the seamless operation and delivery of exceptional patient care. Main Duties:

As a Stores Assistant in the TCCA Department, your key duties involve maintaining optimal stock levels to support excellent patient care. This includes performing regular stock takes and audits, ordering supplies, and utilizing bar code readers and computer systems for inventory management. You will engage in physical tasks such as manual handling and transporting items, adhering to safety standards and using proper techniques. Managing damaged or outdated items and maintaining accurate records in line with hospital policies are also crucial responsibilities.

Person Specification:

This role requires:

  • NVQ level 3 / equivalent qualification or equivalent experience, skills, and knowledge.
  • Experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in planning and organisation of time.
  • Experience of managing resources within defined budgets and financial constraints.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills using sensitivity and influential skills when discussing stock control.
  • Standard keyboard skills.
  • Manual handling abilities.
