Inventory Coordinator

At SPT Labtech, we are seeking a talented and self-motivated individual to join our team as a Stores Assistant on a contract basis until the end of the year. The successful person will support all aspects of the Stores function, working collaboratively with our customers, and will be a key part of our mission to support our customers making a positive difference to human health.

Key Responsibilities:- To efficiently move raw material and finished product internally within the Stores environment as well as externally to other departments. Ensure accurate documentation, labelling, and presentation of product is adhered to in line with company procedures.
- To be responsible for movement and storage of product both physically and manually using the nominated company software. Unloading and loading delivery vehicles while monitoring key performance indicators such as movements, accuracy, and damage. Ensure the Stores & equipment is clean and operational on a continual basis.
- To ensure Job Orders are accurately picked and moved to Production in a timely manner as set out by the production controllers requirements, identify and investigate any discrepancies, and ensure they are reported immediately and the production controller made aware so that the ERP system can be updated correctly to maintain stock accuracy.
- Ensure perpetual inventory counts are completed efficiently and accurately and when required ensure any rechecks are carried in a timely manner.
- To assist with the packing of SPT Labtech SPRS and Consumable orders as and when the orders become apparent. Pack in accordance with company procedures and ensure correct packing is used and advise the logistics department of completion in readiness for outbound despatch.
- To assist with the final packing of SPT Labtech Instruments in readiness for shipping to customers. Assisting with organising crates are ordered and received in good time, picking of customer peripherals and ancillaries to accompany shipment.
- Maintain and work in conjunction with the logistics team on the RMA process from receiving items back from the field, decontaminating, and ensuring repair internally through FSE's or externally with suppliers.
- Stores experience desirable but not essential.
- A great team player with a willingness to learn.
- Educated to GCSE level with success in Maths, English highly desired.
- Microsoft office skills.
- Advanced problem-solving and fault-finding abilities.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to manage all aspects of the role working to sometimes very tight deadlines.
- Ability to multi-task and flexibility to working practices preferred.
