**Job Role:** Youth Support and Welfare Officer
We are a leading educational institution committed to providing a supportive and inclusive environment for students. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Youth Support and Welfare Officer.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Supporting the emotional and mental health of students, ensuring they feel safe, supported, and equipped to succeed in their academic and personal lives.
- Maintaining accurate student records, adhering to confidentiality and safeguarding protocols.
- Advocating for students' rights and well-being within the school community.
- Collaborating with the safeguarding team to create a safe and supportive environment.
**Requirements:**
- A degree or relevant qualification in psychology, social work, education, or a related field.
- A strong understanding of student welfare issues, mental health, and safeguarding policies.
- Experience working with young people, ideally in an educational setting.
- Knowledge of local support services and mental health resources.
- Training in mental health first aid or similar qualifications.
- A passion for supporting young people and promoting their overall well-being.
**Salary:** £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
