Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate individual to join our team as a Youth Welfare Specialist. As the primary point of contact for students, you will be responsible for ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prioritize student safety above all else, implementing our Safeguarding and Health and Safety policies in collaboration with the Camp Manager.
  • Act as Designated Safeguarding Staff for the centre, providing medical support and responses as needed.
  • Manage student behavior effectively, adhering to all ALPADIA policies and rules to ensure a positive experience for all.
  • Lead training sessions for staff members and assist with the induction process.
  • Create and distribute the Welfare Officer rota.
  • Line manage the Welfare Team, serving as their main point of contact.
  • Review Night Supervisor reports and disseminate relevant information to the team.
  • E nsure administrative tasks such as check-in and pocket money distribution run smoothly, following ALPADIA procedures and policies.
  • Manage student accommodation allocation, responding to internal and external stakeholder requests and complaints.
  • Collect and distribute student pocket money.
  • Maintain tidy residence environments and enforce residence rules.

Requirements:

  • A high level of IT proficiency, specifically in Outlook and MS Office (Excel).
  • Flexibility and adaptability in response to changing situations.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for interacting with students and the admissions team.
  • Ability to establish trust and rapport with children.

Salary: The estimated annual salary for this position is $45,000 - $55,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
