About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Youth Support Specialist to join our team at Fairview in Chesterfield.

As a Residential Childrens Worker, you will be responsible for providing daily support, guidance, and care to children in accordance with legislative and policy requirements.

You will work closely with a small staff team to deliver a person-centred service, focusing on the educational and social needs of our young people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily support and guidance to children in our care
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver a person-centred service
  • Contribute to the development of individualised care plans
  • Maintain accurate records and reports as required

Requirements:

  • Level 3 Children and Young People's Workforce Diploma or equivalent qualification
  • Experience working with vulnerable children and young people
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Salary and Benefits:

£18.87 per hour (plain time), £24.59 per hour (unsocial hours enhancement), and £29.50 per hour (sleep-in duty). Additionally, you will receive generous annual leave and flexi-time scheme, travel expenses, discount on leisure centre memberships, free car parking, and access to in-house counselling services and occupational health service.
