Mechanical Team Manager

The Mechanical Team Leader will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and compliant operation of mechanical activities within the Nuclear Site Licence framework.

Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective team management strategies to optimize workload distribution and minimize unplanned events.
- Analyze resource requirements and provide forecasts for emerging work, ensuring adequate manning levels to meet business needs.
- Ensure timely availability of instructions, materials, tools, and equipment necessary for team tasks.
- Communicate safety documentation and information to team members, promoting a culture of safety awareness.
- Collaborate with the Maintenance Delivery Manager to ensure all maintenance tasks are clearly briefed, understood, and performed safely and on schedule.
- Mechanical Craft Apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
- Thorough knowledge of nuclear, conventional safety, and security requirements applicable to their area of responsibility.
- Demonstrated supervisory experience in operations within a nuclear plant environment.
- Strong communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders.
- Able to demonstrate conservative decision-making, even in high-pressure situations.
- Knowledge of operational and maintenance requirements.
- Evidence of self-motivation, drive, energy, and resilience.
Estimated Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum
