Administrative Coordinator for Orientation and Success Teams

1st Choice is currently seeking an Administrative Coordinator for Orientation and Success Teams to join our client in Norfolk, Virginia.
Job OverviewThe Administrative Coordinator will provide critical support to the Center for Orientation, Retention, and Exploration, ensuring seamless operations and delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:- Become knowledgeable of New to Blue, Major Exploration and Exploratory Advising, Success Coaching, and Success Teams.
- Demonstrate professionalism, positivity, and customer service via phone and email to orientation participants, staff, faculty, and campus visitors.
- Effectively troubleshoots orientation registration and change of major processes.
- Manage and monitor office printers, furniture, and other equipment.
- Using critical thinking to problem solve independently.
- Monitor and answer incoming calls, and route them to appropriate offices.
- Monitor and answer emails with correct information.
- Check-in students for academic advising and success coaching appointments.
- Schedule (and reschedule) academic advising and success coaching appointments.
- Provide assistance to the Office Manager.
- Serve as the first point-of-contact to students, faculty, staff, and the general public and receptionist for the Center.
- Provides information to students and general public on University and Center building locations, activities, programs, and policies.
- Maintain office files and inventory for departmental records management.
- Assists with the supervision of student workers.
- Maintains schedules/bookings for orientation registrations, conference rooms, and professional staff.
- Accounts for and distributes incoming and outgoing mail.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma Required.
- Experience in office management or administrative support role.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software applications.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
$45,000 - $60,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
