Planning Officer

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Planning Officer to join our team at Tunbridge Wells Borough Council.
The successful candidate will be responsible for determining planning applications, providing pre-application advice, and working closely with colleagues to deliver high-quality development.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to progress their planning career and become part of a well-balanced, dedicated, and supportive team.
The Council offers a flexible working arrangement, with a minimum of two days in the office and the opportunity to work from home for the remainder of the week.
Additional benefits include 22 days annual leave (increasing to 27 days after 5 years continuous Local Government service), plus an additional day in December, and membership of the Local Government pension scheme.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of town planning and be able to manage your own case load of planning applications and pre-application advice requests.
We are looking for someone who is highly motivated, flexible, and able to work effectively in a team environment.
