Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Planning Officer to join our team at Tunbridge Wells Borough Council. As a Planning Officer, you will play a key role in determining applications and delivering high-quality development in our borough.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of planning applications, pre-application advice requests, and other work
  • Collaborate with colleagues to deliver high-quality development and achieve policy objectives
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to stakeholders on planning matters
  • Contribute to the development of planning policies and strategies
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Knowledge and understanding of town planning principles and practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
