Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Planning Officer to join our Development Management team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in the determination and delivery of high-quality development, providing a nationally recognised 'platinum service', exceeding targets.

With considerable town planning experience in Development Management, you will have excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. You will work well in a team environment, managing a challenging but interesting case load of planning and associated applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of planning and associated applications
  • Provide a nationally recognised 'platinum service', exceeding targets
  • Work collaboratively with the Development Management team to deliver high-quality development
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including developers, residents, and other external parties
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of planning policies and strategies
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Considerable town planning experience in Development Management
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
