Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with departments and assist line managers in understanding and implementing policies and procedures
  • Promote equality and diversity as part of the organization's culture
  • Liaise with various stakeholders involved in policy areas such as performance and health and safety
  • Support recruitment and onboarding, including developing job descriptions, preparing job adverts, and selecting candidates
  • Develop and implement policies, advise on pay and remuneration issues, and undertake regular salary reviews
  • Negotiate with employees and their representatives on issues related to pay and conditions
  • Administer payroll and maintain employee records, interpret and advise on employment law, and deal with complex employee relation cases
  • Develop HR planning strategies, plan and deliver training, and manage the employee lifecycle
Requirements:
  • Business awareness and management skills
  • Organizational skills and ability to understand detailed information
  • IT and numeracy skills, with strong IT skills required for managing computerized payroll and benefits systems
  • Interpersonal skills to form effective working relationships with people at all levels
  • A proven track record of making a difference and leading by example
  • The ability to analyze, interpret, and explain employment law to line managers and employees
  • Integrity and approachability, as managers and staff must feel able to discuss sensitive and confidential issues
  • Curiosity and willingness to challenge organizational culture where necessary
  • The ability to compile and interpret statistical data and communicate it in a professional manner
  • Influencing and negotiating skills to implement personnel policies
  • Potential to handle a leadership role and collaborate with Senior Management
