**Job Overview:**

We are seeking a skilled Wellbeing Practitioner to join our team at our Retirement Village in Chester, working night shifts from 8pm-8am.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of our residents during emergencies. Key duties include:

  • Responding promptly to emergency calls within the village.
  • Assessing the nature of emergencies and providing appropriate assistance.
  • Administering first aid and basic medical care when necessary.
  • Ensuring residents and team members know how to use the emergency call system.
  • Conducting wellbeing baseline assessments for new residents to ensure they can live independently and safely in the village.

In addition, you will:

  • Improve the overall wellbeing of individuals through information and awareness sessions about key health issues for over 55s.
  • Promote self-help groups and provide specialist wellbeing knowledge to support healthy eating programmes and general wellbeing initiatives.
  • Coordinate with emergency services as required and maintain accurate records of incidents and actions taken.

**Requirements:*

  • A satisfactory DBS disclosure & references, medical clearance, and right to work in the UK clearance.
  • Proven experience as an emergency responder, EMT, or similar role (preferred).
  • Certification in CPR/First Aid.
  • An emergency first aid at work qualification and ability to use specialist equipment, including defibrillators and evacuation chairs.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • The ability to remain calm and composed during stressful situations.

**Estimated Salary:** $52,000 - $70,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
