About the Opportunity

CV-Library is looking for a skilled Accountancy and Payroll Clerk to join our team. As a key member of our payroll department, you will assist the Payroll Manager in preparing and processing payroll runs, while also developing strong relationships with our clients.

In this role, you will utilize your technical skills to gather and process client information, manage updates to tax codes and bonuses, and oversee the efficient implementation of pension auto-enrolment.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Collaborate with the Payroll Manager to develop and execute strategic plans for payroll operations, ensuring seamless delivery and high-quality service to clients
  2. Promote excellent communication and interpersonal skills by building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and external partners
  3. Evaluate and optimize existing payroll processes, streamlining workflows to enhance productivity and efficiency
  4. Support the development and maintenance of internal procedures and policies related to payroll administration
  5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including payroll calculations, tax deductions, and benefit entitlements
  6. Prepare and submit reports to relevant authorities, such as HMRC, ensuring compliance with regulations and legislation
  7. Conduct research and analysis to stay informed about changing laws, regulations, and industry best practices
  8. Participate in training and professional development initiatives to enhance knowledge and skills
