Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team in Colchester or Ipswich. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with experience in payroll management to take their career to the next level.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Payroll Manager in preparing weekly and monthly payroll runs
  • Gather client information from various sources
  • Process updates, including tax codes, bonuses, and pay rates, ensuring timely completion
  • Prepare and load BACS payments
  • Develop strong relationships with clients and their employees
  • Manage inquiries and oversee pension auto-enrolment administration
  • Calculate statutory payments, including holiday pay and sick pay
  • Handle new starter onboarding and leaver processing
  • Complete end-of-month and year-end submissions
  • Generate and distribute P45s and P60s
  • Submit required reports to HMRC
  • Issue employee pay slips and provide detailed payroll summaries
Requirements
  • Experience using payroll software
  • Familiarity with Employment Hero
  • Knowledge of current legislation
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of £32,000 - £35,000 per annum, plus benefits including a pension scheme, health plan, 36 days holiday, flexible working, and commitment to training and development.
