Role Overview

The UK requires a skilled Administrative Emergency Preparedness Specialist to join its emergency planning team in Dungeness. This is a contract position with a competitive hourly rate.

Main Responsibilities

  • Maintain and upkeep onsite emergency facilities.
  • Assist in upgrading emergency facilities and liaising with maintenance and contractors for facility enhancements.
  • Prepare site emergency exercises and scenarios.
  • Deliver emergency exercise plans.
  • Liaise with station staff to collate and disseminate exercise feedback.
  • Arrange maintenance and upgrade of defective or non-operational pagers.
  • Analyse data on pager test to enable compliance with test requirements.
  • Act as an 'Umpire' when required for emergency exercises.
  • Update Emergency documentation when due for review or to support changes in the arrangements.

Requirements

  • Strong IT skills with clerical expertise are essential.
  • Effective communication skills are crucial.
  • Flexible but proactive approach to work is required.
