Job Description: Life Skills Enabler

We are seeking an exceptional Life Skills Enabler to join our team at Turning Point. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of individuals with Learning Disabilities, Autism, and other health conditions.

Your primary responsibility will be to provide person-centered support in all aspects of daily life, including managing homes, personal care, accessing community facilities, and maintaining important relationships.

You will work closely with our residents to develop their life skills and personal interests, promoting their independence and well-being. Your duties will also include attending GP and hospital appointments as needed, utilizing your driving license.

To succeed in this role, you must have a genuine concern for others, a strong sense of humor, excellent communication skills, and the ability to think quickly and solve problems. If you are passionate about empowering vulnerable people, we encourage you to apply.

Estimated Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 per annum

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide person-centered support in all aspects of daily life
  • Develop life skills and personal interests of residents
  • Attend GP and hospital appointments as needed

Benefits: 29 days' paid holiday, increasing with each year of service up to 31 days; option to buy additional holidays and spread the cost; comprehensive benefits package available upon request.

Location: Our residential service, supporting 8 individuals with Learning Disabilities, is based in Avondale and Hollygrove.
