Learning Disabilities Assistant

We are looking for a highly motivated and compassionate Learning Disabilities Assistant to join our team in Salisbury. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities and their families.
The successful candidate will work closely with qualified social workers and multi-disciplinary teams to provide person-centered care and support individuals with learning disabilities to lead independent lives.
Key Responsibilities:- Support in Casework: Assist qualified social workers in carrying out assessments, developing care plans, and providing ongoing support to individuals with learning disabilities and their families.
- Collaborate with Teams: Work alongside social workers, health professionals, and other services to ensure a coordinated and holistic approach to care.
- Support Service Users: Help individuals with learning disabilities access services such as community programs, education, employment opportunities, and leisure activities.
- Safeguarding: Support safeguarding processes by identifying any risks or concerns and reporting them to senior staff as appropriate.
- A strong passion for working with individuals with learning disabilities and a commitment to supporting vulnerable people.
- Previous experience in a care or social work setting (paid or voluntary) is desirable but not essential.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable individuals.
- Competitive Salary: A salary range of £23,000 - £28,000 per annum, depending on experience.
