The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting individuals with learning disabilities and their families. They will work closely with qualified social workers and multi-disciplinary teams to provide person-centered care and help empower individuals to lead independent lives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support in Casework: Assist qualified social workers in carrying out assessments, developing care plans, and providing ongoing support to individuals with learning disabilities and their families.
  • Collaborate with Teams: Work alongside social workers, health professionals, and other services to ensure a coordinated and holistic approach to care.
  • Support Service Users: Help individuals with learning disabilities access services such as community programs, education, employment opportunities, and leisure activities.
  • Safeguarding: Support safeguarding processes by identifying any risks or concerns and reporting them to senior staff as appropriate.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
  • A strong passion for working with individuals with learning disabilities and a commitment to supporting vulnerable people.
  • Previous experience in a care or social work setting (paid or voluntary) is desirable but not essential.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable individuals.
