Transport Planning Specialist

About the Role
Culina Group, a leading logistics provider, is seeking a skilled Transport Planner to join their team at the Minworth site. As a key member of the Transport team, you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day planning of the transport operation.
Main Responsibilities
- Plan and manage the transportation of goods from multiple warehouse facilities and manufacturing sites across the UK.
- Oversee the daily workload for a fleet of vehicles, ensuring efficient and cost-effective operations.
- Liaise with customers, subcontract hauliers, and warehousing sites to resolve queries and issues in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with the Traffic and Administration teams to maintain high standards of performance.
- Accurately maintain and update spreadsheets and databases for customer reports.
- Identify and suggest improvements to benefit both the company and customers.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A high level of transport planning expertise in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
- The ability to make decisions under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- A flexible and adaptable approach to working, particularly during peak periods.
- Effective communication skills at all levels within the business.
- Knowledge of SAP, Microlise, and Road Runner is advantageous.
