About the Role

As a Personalized Learning Mentor, you will play a pivotal role in supporting students with SEN, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and other needs to overcome barriers and achieve their goals. Your expertise will lie in developing tailored learning strategies that cater to the diverse requirements of each student, fostering a culture of inclusivity and respect.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with educators, support staff, and parents to create comprehensive learning plans that address the unique needs of each student
  • Delivering high-quality mentorship and coaching to students, focusing on building confidence, self-esteem, and academic resilience
  • Monitoring student progress, identifying areas of improvement, and adapting instruction to optimize outcomes
Requirements

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • A recognized teaching qualification (e.g., QTS, PGCE) or equivalent experience in education
  • Substantial experience working with students with SEN, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and other Additional Educational Needs
  • Strong understanding of differentiated instruction, Universal Design for Learning (UDL), and inclusive pedagogical practices
  • Advanced communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, families, and professionals
  • An Enhanced DBS check (we can assist with obtaining this at a reasonable cost)
  • Two professional references from previous employers or educators
Compensation and Benefits

As a valued member of our team, you'll receive a competitive salary of £30,000 - £40,000 per year (dependent on experience) and enjoy a range of employee benefits, including flexible working arrangements and opportunities for professional growth and development.
