Job Overview
UMO is a leading provider of specialist mentoring services to higher education and further education sectors, as well as the workplace. Our organization prioritizes delivering high-quality Mental Health and Autism Mentoring interventions to students studying part-time or full-time at universities or colleges.

We are particularly interested in speaking with applicants who can commit to 25+ hours per week during term time and have experience working with individuals with ADHD and ASC.

As an employee of UMO, you will receive holiday pay, clinical support, and Employee Assistance Program (EAP).

To be eligible for this role, you must hold an honors degree in any subject and meet the Mandatory Criteria for Band 4 Specialist Mentor – Autism Spectrum Conditions SM-ASC (pages 9-11).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide mentoring to university students with a diagnosis of Autism.
  • Understand the impact of Autism on the student's ability to learn and their university experience.
  • Monitor the student's mental health and assess risk.
  • Prevent or alleviate drop out from university.
  • Support independent learning through 'life skills' support.
  • Encourage personal responsibility and resource development within the student.


Salary and Benefits:
The salary for this position is £27 per hour. Additionally, you will receive holiday pay, clinical support, and EAP.
