Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide individualized support to students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), dyslexia, and speech and language difficulties. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with our experienced teaching staff to implement personalized learning plans, provide one-on-one support, and facilitate small group activities.

About the Role: The successful candidate will have previous experience working with children with SEN, a compassionate and patient approach, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently. Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or SEN support are advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct support to students with SEN in the classroom, ensuring their engagement and participation in learning activities.
  • Assist in the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to assess student progress and adapt support strategies accordingly.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and respected.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with parents and colleagues.
