We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Special Education Support Professional to join our permanent staff team at a small, rapidly improving foundation special school in Oxford. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the learning and development of pupils with special educational needs in both group and one-to-one settings.
  • Collaborate closely with teachers and other staff to create a safe and engaging learning environment.
  • Assist in the preparation of teaching materials and classroom activities.
  • Provide care and encouragement to pupils, helping them develop independence and confidence.
  • Monitor and report on pupil progress to inform teaching strategies and interventions.

Requirements:

  • A genuine passion for working with children with special educational needs.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Relevant experience in education or childcare is desirable but not essential; applications are welcomed from individuals with varying levels of experience, including those new to the profession.
  • A willingness to learn and participate in ongoing professional development.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to undergo the process).

We offer a competitive salary package of approximately £28,000 - £32,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as opportunities for professional development and career progression.
