Area Camden is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Waking Night Residential Childcare Support Worker to join our team. As a key member of our residential service, you will play a vital role in ensuring the physical, social, and emotional care and development of the children and young people in our care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide awake overnight care and support to children and young people, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, young people, and colleagues.
  • Participate in activities and bedtime routines that are person-centered to the child.
  • Use a computer to maintain accurate records and report any incidents or concerns.
  • Communicate effectively with out-of-hours services and respond to phone calls professionally.
Requirements:
  • Experience and knowledge of safeguarding children.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and bring energy and enthusiasm to the role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to engage and listen to children, taking action where needed.
  • Organized and able to plan and prepare work.
  • Willingness to work towards the relevant qualification if not held.
