Job Summary:

Area Camden is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Waking Night Support Worker to join our team. As a key member of our residential childcare team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the physical, social, and emotional care and development of the children and young people in our homes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safety and welfare of each child during the duration of the wake night shift.
  • Offer empathy and compassion to children during night times as part of the wake night team.
  • Participate in activities with the children and implement person-centred bedtime routines.
  • Use a computer to keep accurate records and report any missing children following the Philomena procedure.
  • Communicate effectively with our out-of-hours services and respond to phone calls professionally.

Requirements:

  • Experience and knowledge of safeguarding children.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and bring energy and enthusiasm to the role.
  • Relevant qualification or commitment to undertake a Level Diploma for Residential Childcare.
