Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Polaris Community. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to young people in our residential care settings.

Your primary responsibility will be to work closely with our team to promote the well-being and development of our young people. This will involve providing emotional and social support, helping them to develop meaningful relationships, and encouraging them to become involved in their local communities.

You will also be responsible for recording and reporting on the young people's progress, updating their files, and ensuring that their care plans are implemented and reviewed regularly.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about working with young people, has excellent communication skills, and is able to work effectively as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide emotional and social support to young people in our care
  • Help young people develop meaningful relationships with others
  • Encourage young people to become involved in their local communities
  • Record and report on young people's progress
  • Update young people's files and ensure care plans are implemented and reviewed regularly
Requirements
  • Experience working in the care sector or residential care
  • Relevant qualification or commitment to undertake a Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Willingness to work some Bank Holidays
