We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Waking Night Residential Childcare Support Worker to join our team at Polaris Community. As a key member of our residential service, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to children and young people in our care.

About the Role

This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires a strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. As a Waking Night Support Worker, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of each child during your shift, providing emotional support and empathy when needed, and engaging in activities that promote their physical, social, and emotional development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality care and support to children and young people in our care
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of each child during your shift
  • Provide emotional support and empathy to children and young people
  • Engage in activities that promote physical, social, and emotional development
  • Maintain accurate records and reports
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and external agencies
Requirements
  • Experience working with children and young people in a residential setting
  • Knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures
  • Ability to work as part of a team and provide emotional support to children and young people
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and reports
