**Job Summary:**

As a Residential Childcare Support Worker with Polaris Community, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and nurturing environment for young people in our care. Your primary responsibility will be to promote and support their positive development, while also providing emotional and social support to help them thrive.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Work with the care team to develop and implement individual care plans that cater to the unique needs of each young person.
  • Provide emotional and social support to help young people develop meaningful relationships and achieve their goals.
  • Assist with daily living tasks, such as meal preparation and domestic duties, while encouraging independence and self-esteem.
  • Conduct regular assessments to identify areas of improvement and develop strategies to address them.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, social workers, and other stakeholders to ensure comprehensive care and support.

**Requirements:**

  • Relevant qualification or commitment to undertake a Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare.
  • Experience in the care sector or residential care, with a passion for working with children and young people.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with young people and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to shift work and occasional Bank Holidays.
