Planning Development Lead

Newark & Sherwood District Council is looking for a skilled Senior Planner to join its planning service.
The successful candidate will play a key role in leading the development of new planning projects and contributing to the growth and prosperity of the area.
As a Senior Planner, you will be responsible for providing expert advice on planning matters to stakeholders, collaborating with colleagues to deliver high-quality planning services, and contributing to the development of planning policies and strategies.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Degree in a relevant field (e.g. urban planning, geography)
- Proven experience in planning development
- Strong understanding of planning policies and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
