Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Planner to join our planning service in Newark & Sherwood District Council.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the development of new projects and contribute to the growth and prosperity of the area.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work well under pressure and have a strong understanding of planning policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead on the development of new planning projects
  • Collaborate with colleagues to deliver high-quality planning services
  • Provide expert advice on planning matters to stakeholders
  • Contribute to the development of planning policies and strategies

Requirements:

  • Degree in a relevant field (e.g. urban planning, geography)
  • Proven experience in planning development
  • Strong understanding of planning policies and procedures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Salary: £43,693 - £45,718 per annum, based on a 37 hour working week.
