About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Sous Chef to join our team of professional chefs at WSH Group. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in all aspects of food preparation, production, and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Production: Assist the Executive Chef in preparing and producing high-quality dishes that meet the company's standards and client expectations.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and train kitchen staff and kitchen assistants to ensure adherence to food safety and sanitation procedures.
  • Menu Planning and Development: Assist in planning and developing menus that take into consideration dietary restrictions, nutritional guidelines, and seasonal ingredients.
  • Stock Control and Ordering: Oversee stock control and ordering to maintain appropriate inventory levels while minimizing waste.
  • Special Events and Initiatives: Collaborate with the catering team to execute special events, themed dinners, and other culinary initiatives.
Requirements
  • Residency and Work Permit: Must be residing in the UK and have the proven right to work in the UK.
  • DBS Check: Must have the ability to pass an enhanced DBS check.
  • Experience and Qualifications: 3-4 years successful progression in a professional kitchen, team leadership in a high-volume, fresh food cookery environment, and contract catering experience, especially in education.
