About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Midwife to join our Inpatient team at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust. As a Band 6 Midwife, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered care to women and birthing people throughout their pregnancy journey.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, develop, implement, and evaluate programs of care for patients assigned to you.
  • Organize and provide training programs for staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide excellent care.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to plan workloads and staffing levels, ensuring seamless care at a high standard.
  • Take charge of ward areas, demonstrating leadership skills and ensuring the smooth operation of the unit.
  • Facilitate teaching, learning, and development of staff and students, contributing to the growth and knowledge sharing within the team.
Requirements
  • NMC Registered Midwife.
  • Proven experience in all areas of Midwifery Practice.
  • Proven experience of supervising staff and delegation.
  • Leadership qualities and ability to work in a team.
  • Effective communicator, both written and verbal.
  • Computer literate/IT skills.
  • Good organizational/time management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize work and identify personal development needs.
