Midwife Band 6 Inpatient

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced midwife to join our team as a Band 6 Inpatient Midwife. As a key member of our maternity services, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered care to women and birthing people throughout their pregnancy journey.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, develop, implement, and evaluate programs of care for patients assigned to you.
- Organize and provide training programs for staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide excellent care.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to plan workloads and staffing levels, ensuring seamless care at a high standard.
- Take charge of ward areas, demonstrating leadership skills and ensuring the smooth operation of the unit.
- Facilitate teaching, learning, and development of staff and students, contributing to the growth and knowledge sharing within the team.
- NMC Professional Registration
- Personal Qualities: articulate, professional attitude, able to work in a team, able to think clearly under pressure, ability to provide leadership and support to junior members of the team.
- Skills/Knowledge: able to demonstrate research-based approach to care, effective communicator, able to undertake perineal repair, computer literate, good organizational/time management skills.
- Qualifications: NMC Registered Midwife, evidence of further professional development or willingness to undertake.
