We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate midwife to join our team at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust. As a Band 5 Midwife, you will be responsible for providing safe, clinically effective, and individualized care to women and birthing people throughout their pregnancy journey.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, develop, implement, and evaluate programs of care for patients assigned to you.
- Utilize the full skills of a midwife practitioner to a named caseload of women.
- Communicate effectively with multi-disciplinary professionals and agencies to ensure seamless care at a high standard.
- Take appropriate action to ensure the safety of patients, including delegation of patient care to midwives with the appropriate level of skill.
- Report any accidents/incidents to the Ward Manager/Senior Midwife/Head of Midwifery and monitor the safe and effective use of all equipment and the economic use of supplies.
- Current/pending UK NMC registration.
- Ability to travel.
- Flexible approach to working, prepared and able to work variable shift patterns, early, late, night shifts over 7 days of the week.
- Awareness of self-presentation to patients and relatives.
- Understanding of the organization's values.
Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust is a large acute and specialized hospital trust that provides a range of local acute services to the residents of Worcestershire and more specialized services to a larger population in Herefordshire and beyond.
The Trust operates hospital-based services from three sites in Kidderminster, Redditch, and Worcester.
