About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate midwife to join our team at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust. As a Band 5 midwife, you will be responsible for providing safe, clinically effective, and individualized care to women and birthing people throughout their pregnancy journey.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, develop, implement, and evaluate programs of care for patients assigned to you.
  • Utilize the full skills of a midwife practitioner to a named caseload of women.
  • Communicate effectively with multi-disciplinary professionals and agencies to ensure seamless care at a high standard.
  • Take appropriate action to ensure the safety of patients, including delegation of patient care to midwives with the appropriate level of skill.
  • Report any accidents/incidents to the Ward Manager/Team Leader and/or Supervisor of Midwives.
  • Ensure that midwifery procedures/guidelines are implemented and maintained in accordance with the policies of the Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust and national guidance.
Requirements
  • Current, effective, and up-to-date registration with the UK Nursing and Midwifery Council.
  • Proven experience in all areas of midwifery practice.
  • Proven experience of delegation of workload when looking after a caseload.
  • Able to work in a team, think clearly under pressure, and provide leadership and support to junior members of the team.
  • Enthusiastic, assertive, and motivated with a professional attitude.
